PaidPic is a stock photography Website, where people can buy, sell and share pics to use professionally and commercially for magazines, newspapers, websites, etc.  

Question: How does PaidPic work?

PaidPic offers low-priced, royalty free images using our credit system (1 credit = $0.10). A member can buy credits and download our images from just $0.10 (1 credit). Contributors who sell images will be paid a commission depending on the type of license that is purchased and contributor ranking they hold.

Question: What is a royalty free pic?

A Royalty Free pic means that the price of the pic is the same no matter how long you use the pic for, or how many prints you require, so when you buy a pic under a royalty free license, you can use this pic without a time limit, and as many times as you like.

Question: What is a credit?

A Credit is the PaidPic currency. We use PayPal to convert your currency into our Credit System providing the same value to all users of PaidPic.1 Credit = $0.10

 Question: How do I buy Pics?

To buy images on PaidPic it is very easy, and hassle free.

Please follow the instructions below:

Step 1: Open a PaidPic account (Click here)

Step 2: To Purchase Credits – click on “My Credits" and go to "Buy Credits” and follow the instructions to purchase Credits via Credit Card, PayPal.

Step 3: If you want to save the pic for another time, just add the it to the Light Box, where you can create a gallery to share, save and organize your pics, and are then able to purchase the pic at a later date. If you want to purchase the pic immediately, you can add it to your Shopping Cart.

Step 4: Now you can download the Photos.

Question: How do I search for Pics?

There are various methods to search for images on PaidPic.

Question: What type of license should I choose?

The type of license you need depends on how you will use the pics.

If the pic is used as an illustration for, magazine ads, websites, or professional documents etc, all advertising and / or promotional use, then a Standard Royalty Free License is required. Depending on the size of the project you will need to use the XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL or XXXL license.

Furthermore, if the pic is to be used in image work such as websites, posters, postcards, templates printed on t-shirts or other clothing, which is then sold, then you need an Extended RF License.

Question: What should I do if I forget my password or login name?

If you cannot remember your password you can enter your user name on subscriber login and then click on the “forgot password” link. When you click on this link we will send you an email with your password. Retrieve my password

If you have forgotten your login name you will need to review your confirmation email            for this information.

Question: Will I get a copy of the invoice for my purchase?

Yes, after downloading an image you can find a copy of your invoice in your “Credits” folder by clicking on the relevant credit purchase.

Question: Where is my receipt / invoice for my credit purchase and download?

We record every purchase, transaction and download in your account. Simply log into your account and click on the “Credits” page for more details.

Question: How long do I have to download a pic after it is purchased?

After you purchase a pic you have 72 hours to download it before the download link expires.

Question: What is the Lightbox?

The Lightbox is a place that allows you to save and retrieve your pic selections. If you find a pic you like, just click the “Lightbox" button and it will be saved.

How do I become a PaidPic contributor?

Everyone can become a PaidPic contributor. If you have great images, you can create an account and submit your images for us to review. Before you can upload images we ask you to complete the PaidPic online training found on the “Toolbox” page. Once you have finished the training you may upload images by going to the “MyFiles” page and clicking on one of the upload options.

After the images are uploaded you will be prompted to enter some important information such as title and keywords. The images are then sent to our editors who will review them and notify you by email if they have been accepted.

Question: What type of images does PaidPic need?

PaidPic is always looking for high quality pics.

Question: Is there a fee to upload pics?

Uploading pics is completely Free. PaidPic takes only a commission on images that are actually sold.

Question: How will I be paid when selling pics?

Each time one of your images is sold on PaidPic, you get a commission added to your PaidPic account in real time. You can cash out this money at any time via Paypal, provided you have a minimum of 100 Credits in your account. The commission amount depends on the exclusivity given to PaidPic for selling this image and it depends on your ranking.

Question: How long does it take to be paid via Paypal?

To ensure proper payment PaidPic reviews every transaction before we deliver the money. We make it our aim to pay contributors within 2-4 business days of their payment request, however, there are times where this may be delayed. Please note that you need at least a balance of 100 credits before you can convert your income to Paypal.

Question: Can I delete my pics when I want?

Yes, you may delete your image from your account, and the PaidPic website by clicking on the delete button in the “Action” section of the “My Files" page.

Question: Can I submit images of people, trademarks or protected goods?

Yes, you may submit images of people, trademarks, and protected items if you attach a signed model or property release with your image. PaidPic offers examples of model and property releases in the “Toolbox” page, and click the” My releases” button.

Question: Do pictures of people require a model release?

Yes, all images of recognizable people will require you to submit a signed model release. If the model is under 18 then a parent must sign the model release. Model releases can be found on the “My Toolbox" page.

Question: Do I need a model release if the pic is a self-portrait?

Yes, even if the pic is a self-portrait, you need to provide a signed model release.
